Martin Lyon is listed as UKIP on the County ballot paper, but Independent on the Borough ballot paper.

This seems a bit wrong to me, how can anyone claim to be independent yet represent a party?

Is this even allowed, or a mis-print?

I think some people may incorrectly assume he’s independent and part of the Bishopstoke and Fair Oak independent group. I reached out to the independents and asked and he’s definitely not part of their group. Their members are listed in their latest leaflet.

A quick Google search will swiftly put to bed any association with the independents

Mr Lyon has been a member of UKIP since 2000 according to the Chronicle article. So this is very much a misprint
