There currently appears to be a high number of break-ins and thefts in Fair Oak. Many crimes and suspicious activity locally are reported on Facebook in closed Facebook groups. The message and facts often get diluted across multiple facebook groups and comments. One smart group member (Thanks Darren!) suggested we should have one central place to report them all and share details so we can all be better prepared, or know to report details to the police. Can we work together as a community to do something to help resolve or reduce these crimes?

- If you have a video, suggest you upload it to youtube and just copy and paste the link.
- Please don’t post any personally identifiable information or anything which could damage an ongoing investigation.

- My Brother was held at knifepoint & robbed this evening around 5.30pm in Scotter Road, Bishopstoke. If anyone saw anything or hears anything about it, can you please let me know.
- He is only 16 & is understandably shaken. Described as 1 person, male in his 20’s & Stole my brothers phone (He didn’t have anything else on him).

- STOLEN (Beaver Drive, Bishopstoke). As if times aren’t bad enough someone has broken into my truck last night and nicked my wallet and my work pass. Luckily, no money in the wallet but now made it real difficult to get into work when i go back!
- Make sure you keep things locked up!
- There are some decent people left in this world! Just picked up my pass from someone who found it and wallet has been handed back!

Please be vigilant in Horton Heath, last night at 10:20 our trailer was broken into and our Vespa scooter stolen. We now have found out one of our neighbours was chased with a crowbar when he went to investigate a disturbance outside. It is clear from the timing and close vicinity that these are the same people. We have also found out that another neighbours shed was broken into on Saturday so we feel that our area may currently being targeted. The 3 men arrived in a silver BMW x1 car so please watch out for this particularly at night and make sure all your sheds, trailers and garages are securely locked. If we all keep vigilant we may be able to stop them doing any more damage. Sorry to be the messenger of bad news…

Yes the police are involved and this was around Angelica Gardens and Burnetts Lane. We all need to keep an eye out to keep each safe and report anything suspicious to the police and especially watch out for the silver BMW which is an X1 model but dont confront these people

This is our Vespa, bit of classic which will sadly probably get written off now. We’ve lived here nearly 5 years and Fair Oak before, always felt safe, these boys are about 20 and I am sure aren’t local, they’ve driven in from another area. They were bold as brass scumbags all dressed in black, even after they’d threatened our neighbour and he’d called the police, they still had the balls to break into our trailer and push the Vespa down the road all around 10:20.

Someone has tried to break into our shed overnight. On the new estate by the church on Allington Lane. Some neighbours in the next close also had people in their gardens overnight. Luckily it seems they didn’t get away with anything tho which is good.
My shed door is broken but will sort that today, could have been worse.
Just sharing so people can be vigilant and make sure everything is locked away and secured.

- Robbery at Texaco petrol station on Southampton Road, Eastleigh.

We are investigating reports of a robbery in Eastleigh and are asking for witnesses, or anyone with information, to come forward.
This follows an incident which occurred at 10.35pm on Thursday 7 January at a Texaco petrol station on Southampton Road, Eastleigh.
A man entered the store and approached the till, producing a knife and proceeded to threaten a member of staff. The cashier handed a quantity of cash, with the man fleeing the scene towards the direction of Eastleigh Town Centre.
He is described as a white man, aged between 30 and 40 and of average build. He was seen wearing a red tartan patterned fur-lined hat, a black coat with white writing on the front and a logo on the sleeve, dark trousers as well as white and black Nike trainers.
Do you know this man? Were you in the area at the time and saw what happened? Perhaps you have dash-cam or CCTV footage?

- Beware out there!!! In the night there are two culprits trying garages, sheds and cars now. Often target around 2-4 in the morning. Lock up everything! We even set a trap of bottles at our back garden gate which must have scared them off! Police will be contacted!
- Limewood grange area now and top end of fair oak
- They were in the Hammerley Farm Estate last night too. Lots of doorbell footage. Police have been informed and footage shared. It was 1:24am accessing from the field behind Chapel drove/fir tree lane/angelica gardens area.

We called the police out last night and they were here in minutes - we had a bloke try our car doors and garages (Hammerley Farm, Horton Heath). We challenged him after our ring doorbell alerted us all.

- My brothers garage was broken into last night. They’ve taken materials and caused loads of damage. We are wondering if they have been picked up on someone else’s CCTV? They live by the Fox & Hounds pub and they may have accessed the drive via the Crowd Hill estate.

As if lockdown number 3 couldn’t be hard enough for us as a small business, I regret to inform that the salon unfortunately experienced a break in during the early hours of yesterday morning. Thankfully the only damage that has been done is to items that can be replaced.
